The pork rice plate was pretty good, very classic like you'd get from most Vietnamese restaurants. I feel like their pho is very good though. The broth is very flavorful, and the portions are huge. We also tried the jumbo shrimp and shrimp cakes(?); the jumbo shrimp were great.

They speak canto here. Get mild, it's still slightly spicy. Good portions

Hu tieu hoac mi bo sate (aka #8) was one of the best bowls of soup I’ve ever had in my life, right up there with Michelin starred ramen I’ve had in Japan. There are so many layers of flavor - meaty, spicy, sour, nutty, all coming together in a mind-blowing harmony. The beef is tender and the egg noodles have a bite to them. Just when you think the broth might get too rich, the acidity of the tomatoes cuts through it all and cleanses your palate. Don’t miss out on this one. If “bad service” is what keeps you from giving no-frills Asian restaurants a try, (1) get over it, (2) you don’t have to worry about that here. My friend and I got there just before the kitchen closed and we certainly overstayed our welcome, but the staff treated us warmly the entire time we were there. Also, all the families eating there were Viet - need I say more?

Got the #9 bun bo. It was a denser spicy beef broth with thicker noodles. I liked it until I tried my girlfriend's veggie pho with beef broth which was 🔥 Once you've tasted the pinnacle of brothy Vietnamese goodness, it's hard to settle for less. Place is legit either way. Family next to us got a giant 🦀. Decoration was tasteful, including ceramic good boys near the cash register
